Producing more homes resurrecting empty properties

Cromwood Housing has appointed Roger Maddams as its new finance director.

Roger has worked in the social housing sector for more than 20 years and has a wealth of experience in finance and resource director roles as well as in social housing financial consultancy.

He will combine his new position at Cromwood alongside acting as part-time finance director for Penge Churches Housing Association in South London and an ongoing consultancy role at Campbell Tickell.

Roger has held senior financial positions with CCHA, Havebury and Moat as well as interim finance director roles at Ekaya, Charter and Black Country Housing. Prior to working in social housing, he had senior financial positions in the football, property and library services sectors.

Roger, who has been working with Cromwood on a consultancy basis since 2021, said: “Having supported Cromwood over the last couple of years this felt like a natural fit. Cromwood has grown quickly and I’m excited to carry on that upward trajectory that we have been establishing.”

Moses Hirschler, chief executive of Cromwood Housing, said: “We’re delighted to welcome someone of Roger’s calibre to the team. His knowledge and skills will be invaluable as we continue to grow the organisation and provide more social housing throughout London and across Greater Manchester.”
