Producing more homes resurrecting empty properties

Cromwood Housing has been awarded £11.2m in the latest affordable housing grant allocations by the Greater London Authority (GLA).

We are one of the 52 strategic partners listed by the GLA who have been allocated grant funding to deliver 29,456 homes in the next five years. Under one of the new rules, half of all the homes to be delivered must be for social rent. Our allocation is to deliver 75 homes, all of which will be for social rent.

The GLA were allocated £4bn in the latest round of funding from the government’s £11.8bn Affordable Homes Programme, covering the period 2021 to 2026.

Earlier this year we were allocated £9.4m grant funding by the GLA to deliver 135 flats, under the Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme (RSAP). (Read full article here)

Our vision is “to provide vital housing services to save the lives of people who are homeless, sleeping rough, seeking asylum and fleeing domestic violence”; we believe this £11.2m funding from the GLA to deliver 75 homes for social rent is complementary to our vision.
