Producing more homes resurrecting empty properties

Cromwood Housing is aiming to deliver 25 affordable homes in the London Borough of Hounslow, across an initial batch of 11 garage sites. This will be Cromwood Housing’s first development project which will see council-owned garage sites being transformed into beautiful homes.

Planning permission has been granted for the first of these developments; a two-bedroom affordable home on Beech Avenue, located in the Brentford area of the borough. The site is currently occupied by a row of six garages.

Delivering affordable homes on small sites is a real challenge and Cromwood, together with our development partners, have worked alongside the borough’s Housing & Planning teams to develop a sustainable, efficient and high-quality design for Beech Avenue.

The house has been carefully designed to be sensitive to the local area and the needs of future residents; it will have light and pleasant living spaces as well as generous outdoor amenity space on both sides.

The design is net zero carbon, keeping energy costs low and helping to address climate change with sustainable materials and construction techniques.
